Teaching Assistant

Start date: September 2021 Salary: £18,933- £20,439 FTE/ £16,213- £ 17,502 pro rata Contract type: Permanent Working pattern: 27 hours per week (8.30am-3pm), term time only plus 5 staff development days Application deadline: 31st July 2021

The role and what we are looking for You will be working with students in a variety of contexts to support the teacher in a classroom environment and in small group settings. You will be well supported by our team of professionals in developing the skills you have to maximise the success and happiness of our students.


Our academy We are a large secondary academy and sixth form based across two specialist campuses on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. Our unparalleled range of facilities allows us to teach a dynamic, academic and vocational range of subjects to suit the passions and aspirations of our young people. Our academy is improving day-by-day as we grow and are welcoming one of our largest year 7 and sixth form cohorts this September. We leave no child behind at OA Sheppey and foster strong links with community services to support the island to flourish beyond the school.
