An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National Mental Health Lead to join the Oasis Safeguarding Team to provide clinical expertise, and advice on assessment and interventions to staff, pupils and their families across all the Oasis Community Learning settings, working in partnership with the other organisations that make up the wider Oasis Trust.

The post holder will lead on the development of emotional well-being and mental health approaches across Oasis Academies and provide clinical expertise to staff supporting children and young people. The post holder is expected to support the OCL aims, vision and ethos, contribute specialist mental health knowledge and have a working understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures. 

The post holder will travel to our Academies around the country supporting the “Whole School Approach” to emotional health. This will include commissioning specialist training, overseeing the application of staff supervision and actively support the Academy leadership teams to ensure colleagues are equipped to respond and support pupils struggling with poor mental health.

The post holder must hold a recognised mental health qualification, have managerial responsibilities and have extensive experience in working with children and young people.
