POST:                                     Faculty Intervention TA of Maths

                                                      

RESPONSIBLE TO:              The Principal, under the day-to-day management and leadership of the Faculty Leader

 

GRADE:                                NJC Scale 1 £17,364

 

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:        Academy Leadership Team; relevant teaching and associate staff; LA representatives; partner professionals; parents; local community; other Oasis Academies and Oasis Community Learning central staff.

 

LOCATION:                           Oasis Academy Oldham, Hollins Road, Oldham, OL8 4JZ

 

WORKING PATTERN:          Full-time, term time + 1 week (39 weeks)

JOB PURPOSE:              An Intervention lead role within our Maths Faculty, providing small group tuition to our GCSE students also providing in class support in Maths lessons

JOB PURPOSE: To be responsible for ensuring the best progress of all pupils in the faculty area and to ensure the appropriate support is in place.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:     

 

  1. To track and monitor progress and ensure the needs of the pupils are identified and interventions put in place as appropriate.
  2. To track the progress and attainment of key cohorts of pupils within the faculty in collaboration with FL and key stage leader.
  3.  To liaise with FL/KS lead following AP points to identify where individuals or key groups require additional intervention
  4. To work closes with KS3/4 Progress Leaders and Pastoral Leaders through the Head of Faculty
  5. To understand and support the needs of SEN pupils and other vulnerable groups such as LAC.
  6. To be responsible for ensuring that differences are diminished in terms of attainment through the choice of interventions.
  7. To be able to demonstrate the impact of interventions and their purpose.
  8. To be able to work strategically to make the best use of time and resources to ensure an improvement in progress.
  9. To be able to liaise effectively with pupils, parents and all staff.
  10. To be able to plan and implement well –organised interventions before, during and after school.
  11. To be flexible and adapt quickly and effectively to the changing needs of pupils.
  12. To work with other key staff to ensure that the needs of pupils are met.
