Post: Cleaning Assistant Key Responsibilities: To support the delivery of the cleaning provision on a day to day Property & Estates back office function and support the efficient running of the department as a whole. Responsible to: Cleaning Manager / Cleaning Team Leader Grade: SCP2 – SCP4 £9.30 - £9.58 per hour - (National) + Expenses + Local Government Pension Key Relationships: Cluster Asset Manager, Site Facilities Manager, Site Facilities Assistants, Cleaning Manager, Cleaning Supervisor, Principal, Academy Leadership Team; relevant teaching & support staff; Property & Estates Management; other Oasis Academies and Oasis Community Learning national staff; External Service Providers. Working Pattern: 15 hours per week 4-7pm Disclosure Level: Enhanced Specific tasks related to job purpose: 1. Respond to on call cleaning requirements around the Academy including reception, toilets, shower, changing rooms, classrooms, corridors, canteen and hall and all other areas as directed. 2. Provide emergency cleaning in dealing with ad-hoc requests. 3. Ensure high level of service cleaning to offices, meeting rooms, classrooms and other facilities as defined in the P&E Cleaning Specification. 4. Clean to a hygienic standard following work procedures that incorporate all quality standards as stated in the P&E Cleaning Specification 5. Clean floors, work surfaces, furnishings and related equipment manually and by use of machine understanding and adhering to work schedules and Standard Operating Procedures 6. Undertake deep cleaning during all holidays periods as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor or Regional Cleaning Manager 7. Empty and dispose domestic waste as directed and ensure that waste is disposed of correctly this should be completed at the end of each shift or as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor 8. Special events may require duties to be changed to meet the demands of the Academy. This will be directed by your Cleaning Supervisor or Regional Cleaning Manager 9. Ensure that all equipment and materials required to perform all cleaning tasks are maintained in a hygienic and safe condition and any deviation in store levels or suitability of equipment is reported to the Supervisor for action. 10. Ensure all cleaning materials are stored in cupboards and are kept tidy. Cupboards are locked. 11. Participate as a full member of the team, e.g. supporting and training other staff, participating in team meetings, working flexibly as required to cover 12. Rota’s will be given to all cleaning staff. Rota’s can be changed to suit the demands of the Academy 13. Proactively report any broken, damaged or vandalized surfaces or equipment via the help-desk.
